Each weeknight at 7 (Monday to Thursday) we’ll dust off a crate of old vinyl records and play some great songs from the 70’s and 80’s that haven’t been heard in ages. Check below for what we're doing on the show tonight!

Saxiest Songs of all time
Monday, 06 February 2012 09:44

Tonight we count down the saxiest songs of all time... the songs that feature the killer Saxophone solos.

Who could forget Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran balancing on a raft in the Carribean and miming a sax solo in their 1982 clip "Rio". A clip that highlighted the excesses of the 80's... gotta love it!

Or the t-shirt and sports jacket look of Miami Vice in Glenn Frey's "You belong to the city"

And we even feature one song tonight that's all about sax... no vocals... just sax! Must have written by a bloke...

So what do you think is the saxiest song ever? Be listening tonight from 7 for the Vinyl Countdown on River949!
