Aaron Stevens returned to Queensland this year after spending time away from the Sunshine State, working in the much less sunshined and much much cooler state of Tasmania.

He says it’s great to be home, and it’s exciting to be able to continue his 20 year plus long radio career with River 949….

After all, he had to come home because it was too far to travel on weekends to watch his beloved Broncos running around… and besides, everyone down there calls it Rugby and wouldn’t know the Broncos from the Canadian netball team – (that doesn’t require any smart comments from certain Eels fans).

Family was the other reason Aaron was keen to return to the South East corner of the mighty state of Queensland (7 in a row!!) – His eldest daughter lives locally, and his wife and youngest daughter wouldn’t leave the house in Tassie because it was just toooo coooolllllldddddd!

Now, 20 or so years in radio doesn’t mean he’s old… (the greying hair and growing wrinkles takes care of that!) No, it means experience and a real passion for the industry.

Aaron says his head is filled with so many useless music and worldly facts that he finds it difficult retaining any new information and often gets lost driving home… but he looks forward to sharing those tit bits of info with you… as well as keeping a close eye on what’s happening in the community.
