Two major crashes in the Somerset and Ipswich regions this morning.
Several people have been injured – including children with serious and potentially life threatening injuries – following a truck and vehicle crash at Mt Tarampa.
It happened on the corner of Coominya Connection Road and Forest Hill Fernvale Road at just before 8:30am.
A woman has been airlifted to the PA Hospital with back, arm and hip injuries in a potentially life threatening condition.
A teenage girl was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital with significant facial, shoulder and leg injuries in a potentially life-threatening condition.
A young boy was transported to Queensland Children’s Hospital with significant leg and abdominal injuries in a stable but serious condition.
Two girls of primary school age were also taken stable to hospital with neck and abdominal pain.
Meanwhile, A man is fighting for life in a Brisbane Hospital following a two vehicle crash at Blacksoil in the Ipswich region this morning.
He was taken to the PA Hospital with potentially life threatening head, chest and leg injuries.
Three other men, aged in their 20s, 30s and 40s, were taken to Ipswich Hospital with head, leg and back injuries.
It follows a horror morning on local roads with the day starting with a serious crash on the Cunningham Highway at Yamanto near Ipswich, leaving a man in a life threatening condition, following a truck and ute crash.
