A single mum from Springfield Lakes will be able to buy a home outright after winning in Gold Lotto at the weekend.
She picked up $833,501.02 after winning Division One along with six others in draw 4557 on Saturday March 22nd.
Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said that the local Mum felt eternally grateful after finding out she had won and could now purchase her very own home.
“The woman had been renting for more than two decades and was really looking forward to a house in her own name and so that she could look after her children, “she said.
Ms Hobdell said that initially the woman thought she had won $8,300, until she had a double-take and was blown away by the enormity of her bounty.
The winning 25-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Nextra Orion at Orion Springfield.
This year there have been three major lottery wins in the Ipswich, Lockyer Valley & Somerset region that have collectively taken home more than $5.71 million in prize money.
