I suggest we form a calming circle because we're getting a sequel to the 1993 Disney cult classic Hocus Pocus!
The best part? The trio of award-winning witches who featured in the original are back for number 2.
Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will return as the Sanderson Sisters in a hilariously spooky sequel.
Bette Midler, now 75, announced the news to her 2 million followers on Twitter, "Sistaaaahs! It's been 300 years... But we're BACK!".
The follow-up film is set to be directed by Anna Fletcher (who you can thank for The Proposal and 27 Dresses) with the enchantresses set to be an apparition on your silver screens in late 2022 via Disney+.
“Now more than ever, people need to laugh. We should be laughing every day, and there is so much fun to be had with these three unbelievable women playing delicious characters from such a beloved film,” said Anne Fletcher in a statement. “I am so grateful to be able to play a part in bringing these witches back to life, and to be working with my friends at Disney again makes it all the more special. This is a movie for everyone, from the fans who grew up with the first film to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started.”
