Assassin's Creed has become one of the most successful videogame franchises of all time. For me I thought the peak of the franchise was the amazing Pirate themed title “Black Flag” that reminded me of playing the classic C64 title “pirates” but much much more advanced.

That was until now as the series is back and this time we journey to London England 1868 the Industrial Revolution.

This feels like more of a history lesson than any of the previous titles and includes characters based on real life figures Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin and even Alexander Graham Bell the inventor who becomes a kind of “Q” to your “James Bond”.

An interesting addition to the game is to play as one of two characters, Vagabond Jacob Frye or his Twin Sister Assassin Evie.

The advanced use of parkour to traverse the environment feels more polished than previous versions and the fighting style is face paced and brutal.

Like all Assassin's Creed titles the scenery is what brings life to the world and in Syndicate it is truly amazing. From Big Ben to Buckingham Palace the iconic London is the perfect backdrop for this type of game.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a brilliantly built action adventure mystery title with a whole lot of old school attitude.
