The RSPCA is in urgent need of more volunteers to help care for animals at its Wacol shelter.
The organisation has nearly 3,000 volunteers across the state, but says post-pandemic, numbers have declined as more people return to work.
Spokesperson Emma Lagoon says volunteers are the lifeblood of the charity.
“We’re really hoping that people in the community would like to also volunteer and help out one day a week if they can, for a few hours, just so we can rescue animals and get them the care that they need.”
The service is looking for the following in Wacol.
- Animal Care Assistant
- Animal Experience Prep Assistant
- Animal Transfer Driver
- Wildlife Driver
- General Driver – Donations Collection
- Gardening & Maintenance
