A man has been charged following an alleged sexual assault in Booval.
Police say the 59-year-old approached a woman on South Station Road near the intersection with Sloman Street around 2.45pm on November 27.
It’s alleged the man touched her inappropriately before fleeing the scene in a faded green 2000 Holden Rodeo tray back utility.
The man was taken into custody yesterday morning after police executed a search warrant at his residence.
He was charged with one count of sexual assault and was granted police bail, with strict reporting conditions.
The 59-year-old is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court in January.
Police are appealing for anyone with any further information in relation this incident or any other incident involving anyone associated with this vehicle to make a report to police.
Investigations are ongoing.
