Gatton Hospital (pictured) will reopen from 8am this morning (Thursday 9 March) with a clean bill of health.
An electrical fault that set off the building’s fire alarms on Monday morning has been rectified.
Patients who were transferred to other facilities during the hospital closure have been given the option to return.
West Moreton Health has praised staff for a fast and thorough response to the emergency and the community for their patience as we worked to restore services as quickly as possible.
They have also thanked the Queensland Ambulance Service, the region’s primary healthcare providers, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, and Darling Downs Health for their support.
