Man charged over alleged stabbing in Bundamba Bunnings carpark

Detectives have charged a 20-year-old Doolandella man following investigations into an unlawful wounding incident in Bundamba last week.

Following an extensive investigation by Ipswich Detectives and specialist police, the alleged offender was arrested yesterday, July 8, during a search warrant in Doolandella.

It will be alleged at approximately 5.10pm on Friday, July 5, a man was standing next to his vehicle in a carpark off Mining Street, when he was approached by three men known to him.

During an alleged altercation between the parties, a 36-year-old Goodna man was stabbed in the stomach and arm.

He was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital and has since been released.

The 20-year-old Doolandella man has been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, and unauthorised use of a motor vehicle.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Richland Magistrates Court today, July 9.

A Toyota Kluger, allegedly stolen from a West End address on June 27, has been recovered by police.
