Queensland Rail CEO Kat Stapleton said a similar competition was held at East Ipswich station as part of its upgrade in 2021.

“We’ve seen how stunning these artworks can make a train station, just like at East Ipswich where ‘Early Morning Walk’ (pictured above) graces Merton Street, and we look forward to seeing what this next group of entrants produces.”

“We are thrilled to invite photographers of all skill levels to participate in this exciting competition,” Ms Stapleton said.

Budding photographers can submit a black and white monochrome photo for the panel to consider with submissions now open and accepted until Sunday, 23 June 2024.
