The CMC Rocks Willowbank festival will officially kick off in ‘boot scootin’ style in Ipswich today.
Organisers are expecting a crowd of 26,000 country music fans for the annual three day festival at Willowbank Raceway.
Some fans have already encapsulated the spirit of the event by setting up camp at Champions Way in the last two days.
The festival, which is in its 18th year, will feature some of the industry’s top international and national stars including Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi and Thomas Rhett.
Other talents include Cole Swindell, Billy Currington and Australia’s very own Amy Sheppard, Travis Collins and rising star Lane Pittman.

Chairman of Chugg Entertainment Michael Chugg, who’s promoting the event, said he’s expecting it to be the biggest yet.
“It’s been sold out for a long time and amazing line up with Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Cody Johnson and a great line up of other acts.
“We were worried about Alfred wiping out Brisbane and the Gold Coast, which would have certainly made it difficult for a lot of people not being able to come — fortunately it was lucky it wasn’t the cyclone it was supposed to be,” he said.
Promoter Michael Chugg said that a crowd of 26,000 is expected to turn out for CMC Rocks Willowbank this year.
“We’ve added more area and expanded more paddocks and camping — so it’s pretty good.
“There will be two main stages plus the covered Tailgate Stage under the Big Top and a new talent stage in the campers area,” Mr Chugg said.
