Police have taken one person into custody following a reported wounding at Ipswich this afternoon.
Initial information indicates that around 5:23pm, emergency services were called to a shopping centre near Warwick Road, Yamanto following reports of a person being stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers located a woman with serious injuries.

She has since been transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
A teenage boy has been taken into custody and is assisting police with enquires.
