AFL Great Mark 'Bomber' Thompson Not Guilty Of Dealing Drugs

Mark 'Bomber' Thompson has dodged a bullet, being found not guilty of trafficking drugs despite the drug ice and 480 ecstasy pills being found in his home.

Melbourne Magistrate Duncan Reynolds finding 'Bomber' didn’t intend to sell the drugs, but he was found guilty of possession according to The Age.

The Age reports that half a dozen family members including his daughter and parents watched on on Thursday.

It comes after Police discovered illicit drugs and paraphernalia and Geelong Cats memorabilia hidden inside a coded room off Thompson’s bedroom.

Last month, the 53-year-old who coached Geelong and Essendon, told the court he was addicted to ice after walking away from AFL.

'Bomber' admitted locking himself in his Port Melbourne home and trading in crypto currency 12 hours a day while smoking the drug.

A plea hearing for the former footballer and coach is expected to continue on Thursday.
