Somerset Council's Chief Executive moves on after only 6 months.

The Mayor of Somerset, Graeme Lehmann says Council will operate as normal, despite the shock resignation of the Council's C.E.O.

Jason Bradshaw (pictured) has quit after just six months, citing 'personal reasons'.

Mr.Bradshaw only joined Council in January this year, replacing long-standing Chief Officer Robert Bain.

He was still under probation, but Mayor Lehmann's quoted as saying there was no indication that the role would not be continued.

He says the search for a new C.E.O will start within weeks, and Director of Finance Geoffrey Smith will fulfil the role of Acting C.E.O.
