The Red Cross Blood Service wants Ipswich and Toowoomba locals to consider donating blood as the service struggles through Winter.
Spokesperson Sandee Thompson says that they urgently need to fill over 100 appointments in the next two weeks:
"It is really a challenge for the blood service to meet patient needs during the Winter months because many of our regular donors are suffering from colds and flu and you are unable to donate when you are feeling unwell.
So, it is a time we reach out to people, who've been considering donating or thinking about donating and actually haven't made that call or gone online to book their appointment".
To make a blood donation either visit the Red Cross at Riverlink Shopping Centre or at 661 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba.
Donors can also call 13 14 95 or visit donateblood.com.au online to make an appointment.
