Traffic on James will never be the same, after the Bypass opens.

Planning has begun to upgrade two black-spot intersections on James Street in Toowoomba to improve traffic flow, once the Second Range Crossing officially opens.

The Chronicle reports the Department of Transport and Main Roads this week confirmed James Street will remain a state-controlled road, after the opening of $1.6 billion bypass.

It will make way for major upgrades on the notoriously busy street, with the intersections at Neil and Hume Streets also listed as priorities.
