The Police Union wants the three year sentence of a teen who ran down an Ipswich police officer reviewed.
Constable Peter McAulay (pictured above) was left with debilitating injuries after he was mowed down by a 17-year-old boy in a stolen car at Booval last year.
QPU President Ian Leavers told Nine that 18 months behind bars is hardly justice.
"He has the life sentence.. he will never be the same but community response has been unbelievable they are outraged over this decision -- it doesn't make sense to them".
The Attorney General Yvett D'ath is considering the appeal.
