Opposition leader and member for Nanango Deb Frecklinton has renewed a pledge to duplicate the M1 from Brisbane, through Logan  City, and down to the Gold Coast.
New figures suggest congestion costs will blow out 4 times, to nearly a billion dollars - but Ms Frecklington says even without that, action's needed:
"The LNP is the only party that has committed to duplicating the M1.
We've got people trying to get to work, trying to get home  and that's exactly why the LNP has already committed to building a second M1".
