Police are appealing for information on an attack of an elderly man and woman in their home at Karrabin.
Detective Inspector David Briese says on Monday a man and two women forced their way into the couple's Karrabin Rosewood Road home after knocking on the door and demanding money:
"The male victim has tried to shut the door, at which time the male offender has entered the address, armed with a machete and started threatening the male victim.
At this time, one of the females has also entered and sprayed the male with an unknown fluid and threatened to light him on fire.
The female victim has come out of the bedroom, at which time one of the females, who was there, has assaulted her, throwing her to the ground and kicking her in the head".
The offenders left empty handed and drove off in a dark blue, Holden Astra, possibly a 2000
model with a dent over the rear tail light and a cracked windscreen.
Anyone with information to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
