Meatworkers at a local smallgoods plant have walked off the job, over pay and conditions.
The strike, which started at midnight for 24 hours, follows months of negotiations between the Union and global food giant J.B.S for a better enterprise bargaining agreement.
There's 600 meatworkers employed at the Primo factory at Wacol.
Matthew Journeaux from the Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union says the stoppage is a last resort.
