An investigation is underway after a man was shot with what is believed to be a BB gun at East Toowoomba overnight.
Police allege that a group of nine people - possibly one of them known to the 54-year-old victim - tried to force their way into the Curzon Street home around 8 pm.
They then allegedly got into an altercation, where the man was struck with a glass object before a small calibre projectile was fired from a firearm and hit him in the stomach.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
