Catholic teachers launch duties restrictions, after failed E.B.A talks.

After failing to negotiate with employers over workload and wage parity, over 7,000 Queensland teachers and support staff from 195 Catholic schools will today commence working bans.

Despite teacher duty stoppages going ahead, a full teacher strike has been avoided, after a meeting between the Independent Education Union of Australia and Catholic school employers.

I.E.U.A branch secretary, Terry Burke told The Brisbane Times...there has been some progress, but not enough to stop all industrial action.
