Fire has destroyed a dry cleaning business in Ipswich's CBD this afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the Brisbane Street business near Coles at just before 12.
The fire has since been contained with one crew still at the scene dampening down.
Meanwhile, Ipswich police Inspector Keith McDonald says streets have since been reopened after an emergency situation (PSPA) was declared and homes and businesses evacuated in parts of Brisbane Street, Limestone Street, Marsden Parade and Bell Street.
A building fire in Ipswich's CBD has had the area evacuated and streets locked down this afternoon.
The Queensland Fire and Emergency Service says several crews are at the scene after the fire broke out at a dry cleaners near Coles at just before 12pm.
Police say they have declared a PSPA and locked down parts of Brisbane Street, Limestone Street, Marsden Parade and Bell Street.
It's understood nearby homes and businesses have been evacuated. The fire is not threatening surrounding buildings at this stage.
