BUSHFIRE UPDATE: Fire crews battling several large fires in local region

Hot, dry westerly winds are fanning several large bushfires in the local region this afternoon.
Multiple crews are on the ground, heavy lifting machinery and waterbombing aircraft have been brought in to fight fires near Toowoomba, Logan and the Scenic Rim.. 
It follows warnings this morning that the bushfire danger rating  is very high in the southeast and severe for the Darling Downs and Granite Belt.
TOOWOOMBA 
PECHEY/RAVENSBOURNE - EMERGENCY WARNING -- LEAVE IMMEDIATELY
Residents are evacuating from the path of a fast-moving bushfire in the Pechey forest, which is raging towards Ravensbourne.
An emergency warning has been issued with locals told to leave immediately.
People leaving the area should head south-west along Esk Hampton Road towards Toowoomba.
An evacuation centre is now opened at the Highfields Indoor Sports Centre and for animals such as horses at the Crows Nest Showgrounds.
That fire is racing from Grapetree Road at Peachey towards Ravensbourne.
The dangerous fire is expected to impact Purtill Road, Garvey Road, Ravensbourne Tip Road, Mount Jockey Road and McQuillan Road.
SCENIC RIM
TAROME -- WATCH AND ACT LEVEL -- PREPARE TO LEAVE
Residents at Tarome are being urged to 'Prepare to Leave' as bushfire conditions worsen.
The unpredictable fire is travelling from the Cunningham Highway towards Campsite Road and Simmonds Road.
The fire is likely to impact Campsite Road and Simmonds Road, in the vicinity of Mitchell Gully.
A place of refuge is available at the Kalbar School of Arts off George Street at Kalbar.
A place of refuge for horses remains open at Boonah Showgrounds, 8 Melbourne Street.
BARNEY VIEW/PALEN CREEK - ADVICE LEVEL - STAY INFORMED
Locals are being told to 'Stay Informed about a bushfire burning in the Mount Barney National Park.
The slow-moving bushfire, with multiple fronts, is burning in an inaccessible area of Mount Barney National Park along the Queensland and New South Wales border. 
The fire is travelling in a north-easterly direction towards Barney View, Palen Creek and Upper Logan Road at Mount Barney.
Mount Barney National Park is currently closed. 
The Mount Lindesay Highway is also closed south of Rathdowney due to this fire.
RATHDOWNEY - MOUNT BARNEY FIRE 
Fire crews are monitoring and patrolling a bushfire burning between Woodenbong in northern New South Wales (NSW) and Mount Barney. 
There is no threat to property at this time. 
The Mount Lindesay Highway is closed south of Rathdowney due to this fire.
BINNA BURRA and NATURAL BRIDGE 
Fire crews are currently working to strengthen containment lines around the Binna Burra and Natural Bridge bushfire. 
The fire, which is burning to the south, is posing no threat to property at this time. 
LOWER BEECHMONT
Firefighters are currently patrolling and monitoring a bushfire burning in inaccessible terrain to the west of North Road, Freemans Road and Outlook Avenue at Lower Beechmont. 
The fire is burning within containment lines and posing no threat to property at this time
SOMERSET 
MONSILDALE (NORTH-EAST OF LINVILLE) - ADVICE LEVEL - STAY INFORMED
Residents are being told to 'Stay Informed' about a bushfire burning in the vicinity of Monsildale northeast of Linville.
The bushfire is burning west of Monsildale Road, between Louisavale Road and Tableland Road.
The fire is currently burning within containment lines. 
Crews will continue to strengthen containment lines and monitor the blaze into the night.
LOGAN 
BORONIA HEIGHTS - ADVICE LEVEL - STAY INFORMED
Locals are being told to 'Stay Informed' as a fire burns through bushland at Boronia Heights 
The blaze is burning near Punter Street, Crest Road and the Mount Lindesay Highway at Boronia Heights. 
Crews are working to contain the fire. 
Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions and be mindful of crews working alongside the road.
