BUSHFIRE UPDATE: Crews back battling several blazes locally today

Fire crews are still battling several bushfires at Pechey near Toowoomba, Somerset, Southern Downs and in the Scenic Rim today, which have been burning for days.
It's hoped a much-needed reprieve in weather conditions will help firefighters get on top of more than a dozen local bushfires .
Waterbombing aircraft, multiple fire crews and heavy lifting machinery have been brought in to help with the fires.
The fire danger ratings have been downgraded to very high or high today.. after firefighters had to contend with extreme and severe fire conditions yesterday.
SCENIC RIM
MOUNT LINDESAY (PART OF THE MOUNT BARNEY FIRE) -- WATCH AND ACT -- PREPARE TO LEAVE
Residents are being told to 'Prepare to Leave' as crews battle a bushfire at Mt Lindesay. 
The bushfire is continuing to burn in the vicinity of Hardgrave Road and Old Mount Lindesay Road, Mount Lindesay. 
The fire continues to move at a slow pace, however, conditions may change throughout the day. 
This blaze is part of a much larger fire burning on multiple fronts within the Mount Lindesay National Park, on both the New South Wales and Queensland side of the border.
The Mount Lindesay Highway remains closed between Woodenbong in NSW and Rathdowney.
TAROME -- WATCH AND ACT -- PREPARE TO LEAVE
Locals have been told to 'Prepare to Leave' due to an unpredictable bushfire burning west of Tarome.
The fire is continuing to travel in an easterly direction towards Tarome.
It is likely to impact Ryan Road, Hinrichsen Road, Simmonds Road, Campsite Road and McGuire Road.
Those self-evacuating the area should travel east on Tarome Road, towards Kalbar.
SOUTHERN DARLING DOWNS 
TREGONY (PART OF THE CLUMBER FIRE -- WATCH AND ACT -- PREPARE TO LEAVE
A 'Prepare to Leave' alert has been issued for a bushfire burning at Tregony.
The large fire is continuing to travel from the Spicers Peak Nature Reserve in a westerly direction towards North Branch. The fire is likely to impact North Branch Road, in the vicinity of Young Road. 
The fire continues to move at a slow pace, however, conditions may change throughout the day.
The Cunningham Highway remains closed between Lake Moogerah Road and the Fisher Park Truck Stop due to falling trees as a result of the fire.
TOOWOOMBA 
RAVENSBOURNE (PART OF PECHEY FIRE) -- WATCH AND ACT -- PREPARE TO LEAVE
Locals are being told to 'Prepare to Leave' as an unpredictable bushfire continues to burn at Ravensbourne.
This 'Watch and Act' alert is for residents within an area that extends from the southern side of Perseverance Dam Road and Cressbrook Dam, to Brennan Road, Garvey Road, Purtill Road, McQuillan Road and Esk Hampton Road. The fire is likely to impact these areas.
Those who had evacuated are advised it is now safe to return, however this could change quickly and those who return should be prepared to leave.
An evacuation centre is open at the Crows Nest Showgrounds, New England Highway near Showgrounds Terrace.
CRESSBROOK CREEK AND CROWS NEST (PART OF PECHEY FIRE -- WATCH AND ACT -- PREPARE TO LEAVE
Residents are being told to 'Prepare to Leave' as this unpredictable and large fire continues to burn in Ravensbourne and continues to head towards Crows Nest.
This prepare to leave message is for residents north-west of Perseverance Dam Road including Cressbrook Dam, Perseverance Dam Road, Sebastapool Road, Three Mile Road, Dahl Road, Creek Street, Dale Street North and South, Jones Street, Church Road, Esk Street, William Street, Charles Street, Albert Street, South Street, Blinco Road and surrounding streets. The fire is likely to impact these areas.
Those who had evacuated are advised it is now safe to return, however this could change quickly and those who return should be prepared to leave.
An evacuation centre is open at the Crows Nest Showgrounds, New England Highway near Showgrounds Terrace.
There will be a community meeting held at Crows Nest Showgrounds this morning at 11am where residents can learn the latest information about this fire. 
SOMERSET 
REDBANK CREEK (PART OF THE PECHEY FIRE) -- WATCH AND ACT -- PREPARE TO LEAVE
A 'Prepare to Leave' has been issued for residents at Redbank Creek due to the threat of an unpredictable bushfire.
The fire is continuing to burn on multiple fronts in the Deongwar State Forest and Redbank Creek areas. 
The fire is likely to impact Oaky Mill Road, Cressbrook Creek Road and areas in the vicinity of Esk Hampton Road, between Brennan Road and Brough Court including Kipper Creek Road and Regent Road.
Residents who have left the area are advised it is now safe to return, however this could change quickly and people should be prepared to leave.
ESK (PART OF PECHEY FIRE) -- ADVICE - STAY INFORMED
A 'Stay Informed' alert has been issued as a bushfire continues to burn in the Deongwar State Forest and Redbank Creek areas, west of Esk.
Properties in Esk are not under direct threat at this time.
There are separate bushfire warnings for Ravensbourne, Redbank Creek and Cressbrook Creek and residents located in these areas should refer to the relevant warnings.
