Firefighters are bracing for a busy week ahead with temps expected to reach 40 plus in areas including Ipswich.
Yesterday, the severe fire conditions sparked a blaze again at Ravensbourne north of Toowoomba -- despite the bushfire being contained there over a week ago.
QFES Fire Inspector Warren Buckley told Seven that firefighters stopped the out of control blaze destroying a home:
"It had the wind right behind it!
It was pushing up the hill, which was not real good, which just tried to get in front of it and tried to steer it away from the structures and that".
A total fire ban has been extended until Friday.
