22 horses have reportedly been found dead on a property in the Toowoomba region, after they appear to have starved to death.
The Courier Mail reports the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission has found that seven were ex-racehorses.
It's understood eight horses still survive in a poor condition on the Gowrie Mountain property.
The issue is being investigated by Biosecurity Queensland, who say a direction has been served on the person in charge with regard to the ongoing care of animals on the property.
