Less need to 'mind the gap' at local railway station


Redbank station has been made more accessible, as commuters begin to head back to the workplace.
The State Government project has partially raised the station’s platforms, securing crucial work for 34 contractors and Queensland-based businesses, during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Member for Bundamba Lance McCallum said raising the assisted boarding points on platforms one and two improved accessibility for commuters who might otherwise require assistance boarding.

It is part of a $17 million investment across South East stations, after a major $357 million station upgrade program, which includes plans for a major overhaul of East Ipswich station.
