Less pork on the fork for Pig farmers.

Local pork producers are suffering through cuts to their meat prices, with returns falling at Toowoomba's recent pig sale.

Producers received around $1 a kilo less for their pigs, equating to hundreds of dollars less for their consignments at the sale.

Pig farmer Bernadette Harvey said diminished whole-sale demand has created a glut on pork, which is forcing her to sell her premium livestock at lower prices.
