A Towoomba company has signed a $40 million contract to deliver construction materials for Brisbane's Cross River Rail project.
Wagners Wacol facility is expected to construct 25,000 concrete segments needed for the 10.2 kilometres Dutton Park to Bowen Hills rail line.
Minister for State Development Kate Jones says it's a win for Queensland and local jobs during the COVID crisis:
"This $40 million contract will create more than 70 jobs here on site but also as you've heard the supply chain to create the materials and also the majority of those materials are made her in Queensland".
