Ipswich residents struggling to clean up after last year's Halloween hailstorms are being offered some relief.

Ipswich City Council has waived tip fees until May 9th for residents living in Springfield Lakes, Rosewood and Willowbank.

The minimum charge for disposal of general waste by a resident of Ipswich City is $12 for up to 500 kilograms.

Mayor Teresa Harding says waiving the fee will assist residents with the clean up, six months after the devastating storm hit.

"You'll be able to dispose of storm damage waste for a month and we'll waive those fees from this Friday until the 9th of May.

"Our residents of Springfield Lakes, Willowbank and Rosewood are still reeling from the unprecedented damage that's occurred to their property," Mayor Harding added.
