The 2021 Carnival of Flowers will boast bigger and brighter and more blooms as organisers unveil a month of festivities across the Toowoomba region.
The popular flower festival usually runs over 10 days, but it is being extended to run throughout September.
Councillor James O'Shea says council has been considering extending the festival for some time.
"The future planning of the Carnival of Flowers always had the intention of extending it out.
"I think we have seen the event grow in time.
"To the point where we have seen people visit pre and post that traditional 10-day carnival," Mr O'Shea says.
The famous Grand Central Floral Parade and Food and Wine Festival will return after being cancelled last year, due to COVID-19.
A brand new event High Cheese to Spring Bluff will be held in partnership with Lockyer Valley Council.
"September is the best time of the year in the Garden City, and now there is a great opportunity to celebrate for the entire 30 days."
