The Ipswich Show will kick off with a bang today after it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic last year.
The family favourite is back bigger and better with gates to the three-day festival opening this morning.
The agenda is jam-packed with cattle judging, a circus, monster trucks, burnout cars, horse show jumping, showbags, dagwood dogs, sideshow alley and more.
Ipswich Show Society President Darren Zannow says they're hoping to make up for financial losses after last year.
“We really do hope to have a great show because it’s been really really tough in our industry.
“We really do hope to recoup some of our losses in the past 12months.”
He says the showgrounds have undergone a multi-million dollar revamp.
“We spent $5.6million on the showgrounds to create the Ipswich Events Centre, which is a large facility which has all sorts of exhibits this year like the Wellness Expo and the Antiques Expo.”
A fireworks bonanza will dazzle in the night sky for the next three nights.
