Police are investigating the armed robbery of a business in Oxley this afternoon (January 12).

Around 4pm two men dressed in black and wearing balaclavas entered the Oxley Station Road business neighbouring Cawonga Park, one armed with a firearm and the other a knife.

One man jumped the counter and stole a sum of money from the register, while the other man stole a female customer’s handbag.

The pair fled to a waiting vehicle, a red hatchback, which left the carpark and travelled south-west on Oxley Station Road toward Oxley Road.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for the female customer to come forward, and for witnesses, including those with CCTV or dash cam footage captured on Oxley Station Road between 3.45pm and 4.15pm to contact police.
