Organisers are hoping for big crowds when the Ipswich Show opens its gates on Friday.
Ipswich Show Society president Darren Zannow says that hopefully the rain won't deter too many people.
The key events of this year's show include the rodeo, demolition derby and 'the Beast - the largest travelling ride in Australia'.
“We hope everyone will come out in force and support their show this year,” Mr Zannow says.
“If it does rain, the event will certainly go ahead, there might be part of the events that are cancelled or postponed due to safety reasons, but apart from that all the pavilions will be open and the rides will be operating.
“We've been doing a lot of work on the showgrounds this year a lot of maintenance work and a lot of a lot of redevelopment work on the show ground.”
Tickets are available at the ticket box office or at https://ipswichshow.com.au/
