Woman, 26, allegedly sets car on fire after dispute with another woman

A 26-year-old woman has been charged with arson after allegedly setting a vehicle on fire after a dispute with another woman in a Toowoomba town.

Police allege around 10.30pm on Sunday, May 15, a Millmerran woman used an accelerant and set fire to a vehicle parked on Walpole Street before fleeing the scene, following a dispute with a local woman known to her.

The vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Xtrail was destroyed but no one was injured.

Police arrested the woman at a Lola Avenue home, and she was charged with one count of arson – motor vehicle.

She was denied police bail and will appear in Warwick Magistrates Court today.
