Ipswich has been hit with another very chilly morning with temperatures getting to just above zero.

In nearby Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim this frosty start saw temperatures fall to 2.4 degrees.

“Amberley had 0.5 degrees this morning, so dangerously close to freezing. There would have been frost of course,” Livio Regano from the Bureau of Meteorology says.

We can expect the cold temperatures to hang around for a few more days yet.

“Tomorrow is probably the black sheep because we have a passage of a upper-level trough that will bring a lot of cloud

“But once Wednesday come through it will get quite cold and windy."
