Police release images of vehicles linked to Thor Morgan murder


Police have released images of two vehicles believed to be linked to those involved with the shooting 25-year-old Thor Morgan in Toowoomba.

At approximately 2.50am on Tuesday March 15, Thor Morgan (pictured) was found at a Coonan Street address at Harlaxton with a gunshot wound to his head.

Mr Morgan died as a result of his injuries at  Princess Alexandra Hospital on May 16.

Detectives believe the people involved were travelling in the Toowoomba area in two stolen vehicles in the days leading up to the murder.

A grey Mitsubishi ASX Wagon (pictured) stolen from a Newtown address on 27 February.


A white 2015 Honda H-V SUV (pictured) stolen from a Mount Lofty address on 5 March 2022.


Both vehicles were found burnt out in the Toowoomba area.

Police appeal to anyone who recognises the vehicles and may have information or relevant footage regarding their movements in the days leading up to March 15, to come forward.

A 27-year-old Rosenthal Heights man was charged with arson in relation to the Mitsubishi.

He is next scheduled to appear before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on August 10.

A 22-year-old Newtown man was charged in relation to the theft of the Honda and related break and enter.

He was sentenced before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on April 4.

Police say neither of the men were involved in Mr Morgan’s murder.

Operation Tyne has been established as investigations into the incident continue, with detectives conducting further ground searches in the area surrounding Coonan Street.
