LNP leader says Minister needs to make council information public

The Opposition leader says the Local Government Minister needs to make information discussed with the Crime and Corruption Commission about the Ipswich Council -- public.
Her comments follow reports that Stirling Hinchliffe's decision to introduce laws to sack Ipswich councillors and replace them with an administrator was backed by Triple C chairman Alan Macsporran.
Deb Frecklington (above) says it's important people know what's going on:
"He's now saying on advice from the Crime and Corruption Commission that legislation needs to brought into the Parliament that ultimately gets rid of any appeal rights.
Let's remember the Minister has the power to sack the council has happened in the past.
So, we need to see what this information is and what the briefing has had from the Crime and Corruption Commission".
