Corruption boss not consulted in Ipswich council sacking

The Corruption watchdog boss says he only found out about plans to sack Ipswich Council after the state government had made its decision.
Chair Alan MacSporran QC (pictured above), in a statement today, clarified that he was not consulted by Stirling Hinchliffe before the Minister announced plans to overthrow council and replace them with an administrator this week.
But, Mr McSporran made it clear he did support the move despite controversy surrounding the council's dismissal.
