Something maybe missing from the 2020 Toowoomba Council election.

Traditional polling booths could be scrapped at the next Toowoomba Regional Council election, in favour of full postal voting.

Councillors have voted in favour of Local Government Minister Stirling Hinchliffe's recommendation, that next year's quadrennial local government election be conducted through the mail.

All but one of the councillors voted for the proposal, arguing it was cheaper and more efficient without polling booths.
