Concerns for 2 local Councils over ballooning unpaid rates debt.

Somerset and Lockyer Valley residents collectively owe almost $5 million in unpaid rates.

In fact, the Somerset and Lockyer Valley Regional Councils are owed $4.8 million, with the debt hurting both councils and ratepayers.

Lockyer Valley Regional Finance Councillor, Chris Wilson told The Gatton Star...rates play a big part in any Council being able to deliver services and infrastructure required by a community, and generate 63% of Council's income.
