Severe storms move through the local region

Severe storms carrying large hailstones, heavy rain and destructive winds continue to move through the local region this afternoon. 
A warning has now been issued for Ipswich, Logan, Brisbane City, Moreton Bay and parts of Somerset, Scenic Rim, Southern Downs,Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley areas.
62 millimetres of rain  has been recorded at Mulgowie in 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, Justine Coomber from Energex says as the storms pass through the region it's important for people to stay away from power lines. 
"We are seeing a few power lines coming down with these high winds, we are getting at the moment.
So, we do ask people if they see powerlines coming down anywhere, please do stay away and keep everyone else away from it because they still could be live unfortunately .
Please call Energex on 13 19 62 or if there are any lives in danger please call Triple Zero (000) immediately".
Nearly 10,000 homes have lost power in areas including Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Scenic Rim and Lockyer Valley.
