Mayor shocked by Local Government election price tag

Lockyer Valley's Mayor Tania Milligan (pictured above) says it is rude that there's been a massive increase to the cost of the 2020 Local Government election.
Ms Milligan says the Queensland Electoral Commission will charge close to $400,000 for next year’s election when the last full election in 2016 cost around $190,000.
She says it is ludicrous:
"We have inquired to ECQ on how they arrived at that figure.
They have told us they haven't got any detail to give us next month, which makes me more astounded as far as there's no formula that you can at least share with us and how this arrived at $390,000".
