Police incident at a Newtown pub

A man has been arrested after a firearm was discharged at a Newtown pub..
Two  officers conducted a walk-through of a Gowrie Mountain Road Hotel when its alleged a man they were talking to became aggressive, producing a firearm, which was discharged once.
It's then claimed the man further threatened police and patrons with a knife.
He was taken into custody after a violent struggle, with officers using pepper spray and a taser to subdue him.
A police hunt continues for a man and a woman following an incident at a Newtown pub this morning. 
Officers arrested another man at the Gowrie Mountain Hotel around 11.. after executing warrants in relation to an ongoing matter.
It's understood the pair fled the scene, which led to local schools being put into lock down and an area around the hotel cordoned off.
But police say the lockdown has now been lifted. 
Schools have been locked down and an area cordoned off around a Newtown pub in a search for a woman wanted by police.
Police say the woman fled from the Gowrie Road Hotel after a man she was connected to was arrested there earlier today. 
It's understood it began around 11am after officers went to the hotel to execute a search warrant in relation to an ongoing matter.
Police have arrested a man at  Newtown in Toowoomba today. 
It's understood they have also cordoned off the area around the Gowrie Road Hotel as they search for a woman connected to the man, who’s been taken in to custody.
Police Media say they have limited information at this stage but will have more as it becomes available.
