Toowoomba North MP Trevor Watts says the Budget is a big disappointment with debt ballooning, tax increases and no real job creation.
His comments come after Treasurer Jackie Trad handed down her second budget in State Parliament yesterday.. announcing a surplus which will see debt increase to $7.3 billion this financial year.
Mr Watts says there were no major wins for Toowoomba but there were some things that he'd been fighting for:
"A particular intersection at North and Ruthven Street will finally get the upgrade that we had been running petitions in court.
A police station for Highfield, which was promised a couple of years ago, will finally get delivered and a new police hub at Newtown.
These are important things but there is really no new news".
