Ipswich Council is expected to chase legal fees racked up during former Mayor Andrew Antoniolli's fraud trial.
Under council's Legal Assistance Policy, which covers legal costs for councillors or staff, it says once a conviction is recorded the policy will seek a repayment.
In a statement today, CEO David Farmer confirmed that council had paid a small portion of the ex-Mayor's legal fees after being charged by the Triple C last year.
Antoniolli was found guilty of 13 fraud related offences earlier this month.
