A police dog bite has stopped an alleged drug driver in his tracks after a dramatic police pursuit north of Brisbane.
A stolen car was followed along the Bruce Highway by the police helicopter after being spotted at Narangba around 9.40pm on Saturday.
Police used stingers along the Steve Irwin Way at Landsborough to slow the car, but it continued driving on its rims until eventually crashing into a sign.
The male driver fled the scene but was tracked by PolAir and the dog squad to Mooloolah Cemetery, where a police dog bite allowed officers to arrest him.
A 29-year-old Petrie man is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday charged with a range of offences including drug, dangerous and unlicensed driving.
