Local greyhound racing looks promising...despite N.S.W ban.

Ipswich's Greyhound Racing Club maybe in for big benefits, after New South Wales announced the sports banning across the state within a year.   New South Wales' decision comes on the back of this week's announcement...suggesting $14 million in funds could be made available for a multi-racing precinct at the Ipswich Turf...

In Ipswich Rugby League...there were weekend wins across the board for our local teams.   Goodna's Eagles soared over Norths - winning 54 points to 24, Fassifern's Bombers pounded West End Bulldgos with a 56 to 6 point victory...and Brothers survived a second-half onslaught from Swifts Bluebirds, to take out the match...

Aussie karting championships come to Ipswich this weekend.

Toowoomba's Will Power has won the latest Indy-Car Race in the U.S - by less than a second.   Power took the event at the Road America circuit by just three-quarters of a second, holding off a hard-charging Tony Kanaan, to clinch his 27th career victory.
